A growing law firm in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking a Family Law Trial Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. This position focuses on handling family law cases while providing opportunities to work in other practice areas. The selected candidate will be in court regularly throughout the Chicago metro area and will have direct client and opposing counsel interactions. Location:

  • Bolingbrook, IL

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload primarily focused on family law, from intake through trial and conclusion
  • Appear in court five days a week across Will, DuPage, and Cook Counties
  • Litigate cases and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, making key decisions on case management
  • Handle other legal areas of practice within the firm as opportunities arise
  • Collaborate with the legal team while maintaining the ability to multi-task independently

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois (must be in good standing)
  • Strong litigation skills with a genuine desire to handle cases in court
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently from start to finish
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Existing book of business preferred, but not required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in family law and trial litigation
