Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves drafting legal documents, attending court appearances, and effectively communicating with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, interrogatories, case information statements, settlement agreements, and final judgments.
• Regularly attend consultations, court appearances, depositions, and argue motions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, adversaries, and colleagues.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, and spousal support.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Organize and maintain case files and documents.
• Negotiate and settle cases in the best interest of clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Prior experience as a Law Clerk is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations.
• Prior experience in family law is highly desirable.
