A law firm seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Attorney to join its Saint Louis, MO office. This position involves managing complex intellectual property disputes, working with a collaborative team, and delivering exceptional legal services to clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to the success of the team.

Duties

  • Manage the strategic and day-to-day aspects of multiple IP litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor junior associates and support staff as necessary.
  • Participate in litigation strategies, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Ensure exceptional client service by providing timely and effective legal solutions.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying and fostering client relationships.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2 years of IP litigation experience in a law firm setting, including case management and technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science).
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of intellectual property law and litigation processes.
  • Attributes: High technical and analytical aptitude with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in good standing in at least one jurisdiction where the firm operates.
  • Compliance with continuing legal education (CLE) and license renewal requirements.
