A reputable law firm is seeking experienced Mid-Senior Energy Transactions Associates with 5-6 years of experience in Energy & Infrastructure transactions. This role involves working on complex energy projects, collaborating with prominent stakeholders, and supporting high-profile transactions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financing structures, tax equity, and M&A transactions within the energy sector.

Location

Duties

  • Engage in various energy and infrastructure transactions, including project financing and private M&A
  • Handle projects at every point of the lifecycle with a focus on sustainability-linked and green loan financing
  • Collaborate closely with a team representing major stakeholders in U.S. and international energy markets
  • Assume responsibility for structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements related to energy projects
  • Participate actively in client meetings, providing strategic counsel and advice
  • Work on tax equity structures and other financing arrangements, as applicable

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in energy and infrastructure transactions, with expertise in financing and/or private M&A
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in project and energy financing and/or energy-related M&A transactions preferred
  • Ability to assume responsibility for complex transactions and work in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active membership and good standing with the Texas State Bar

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting complex transaction documents
  • Knowledge of tax equity and IRA credits, with an emphasis on the energy sector
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
