Duties

  • Provide timely and effective legal counsel, advice, and strategy to clients and insurance adjusters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage discovery processes and motion practice for a high-volume docket.
  • Communicate daily with courts, witnesses, and opposing counsel to manage case progress.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective resolution of assigned cases.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of witnesses and evidence at trial, working towards taking on first-chair responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of active experience in insurance defense or a related litigation field.
  • Proven experience in handling litigation, from pre-suit through trial preparation.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and self-starter mentality.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Texas (required).
