A law firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate finance litigation and related transactions, or a demonstrated interest in focusing on this area of law. The ideal candidate will also find bankruptcy litigation experience beneficial and desirable. This position requires excellent research, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a variety of discovery and motion-related projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on issues related to commercial real estate finance litigation.
  • Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document productions, and drafting protective orders.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, including preparing witnesses and managing deposition logistics.
  • Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and motions in limine.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process.
  • Manage case files and maintain case documents.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Pennsylvania or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate finance litigation preferred.
  • Bankruptcy litigation experience is desirable.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
