Duties:

• Defend wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class actions.
• Provide strategic counsel on compliance with California and federal wage and hour laws, particularly overtime, meal, and rest period requirements.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour disputes with minimal supervision.
• Conduct depositions and manage discovery-related motions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive discovery plans.
• Draft compelling legal documents, including opposition to class certification motions in wage and hour cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating both legal expertise and strategic foresight.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure high-quality service delivery and case outcomes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in defending wage and hour litigation, with class action experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of California and federal wage and hour laws.
• Strong experience with written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
• Ability to effectively engage with clients and manage client expectations.
• Outstanding legal writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
