Job Overview:
A law firm in Richland, WA, is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney I with a proven track record in mediation and trial proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional legal research and writing skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a successful record of mediation experience and significant trial experience.
  • Research and analyze the law on complex legal issues.
  • Write memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.
  • Conduct due diligence in all matters.
  • Manage a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults to reach production/collection objectives.
  • Close consults within the firm’s 30-50% range, depending on the practice area.
  • Timely approval of invoices on a monthly cycle is critical to the business's health.
  • Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.
  • Accurately update CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc., as required.
  • Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff if over-subscribed.
  • Actively expand the brand through blogs, social media posts, board and organization participation, etc.
  • Seek positive feedback from successful client engagements and secure positive star reviews.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent legal research skills.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the WA Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience as an attorney.
