Job Overview:

A growing law firm is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing clients during emotionally challenging legal matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and domestic violence. This role offers an opportunity to handle a variety of family law issues, from legal document preparation to court representation, in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary.
  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases.
  • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.
  • Advise clients by thoroughly understanding their needs and strategizing appropriate legal actions.
  • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to move cases efficiently through the civil litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association).
  • Proven experience in family law with a focus on divorce, child custody, child support, and alimony.
  • Experience handling issues like child abuse, domestic violence, and marital asset division.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly in emotionally charged situations.
  • Strong record of success in advocating for clients in family law matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and real estate matters.
