Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of substantive transactional real estate experience to join its Real Estate practice group in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing real estate transactions, drafting complex documents, and providing legal guidance on real estate-related matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of real estate issues, from acquisitions and dispositions to tax appeals and zoning matters.

Location:

  • Pittsburgh, PA

Duties:

  • Manage various real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and property development.
  • Draft and negotiate complex real estate documents, such as purchase agreements, leases, partnership agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate entity governance documents related to real estate entities.
  • Review and analyze title abstracts, title insurance commitments, and property condition reports.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic solutions for complex real estate matters.
  • Represent clients in zoning review, approval matters, and real estate tax appeals.
  • Support the litigation team in real estate-related disputes and matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and title examinations for real estate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Stay informed on relevant real estate laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of substantive experience in transactional real estate law.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple real estate files and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of land use and planning matters, including zoning laws.
  • Experience with real estate tax matters and tax appeal processes.
  • Familiarity with construction delivery systems and construction project agreements.
  • Understanding of title underwriting processes and real estate due diligence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.
  • A forward-thinking and team-oriented mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:
