A growing personal injury law firm is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be aggressive, focused, and able to manage a large and active docket of personal injury cases. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional environment while working collaboratively with a team of legal professionals.

Location:

Duties:

  • Investigate case facts and gather evidence to support damages claims
  • Negotiate settlements, including lien resolution, where appropriate
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing attorneys, court personnel, and insurance representatives
  • Collaborate with legal teams to achieve law firm goals
  • Supervise and mentor support staff
  • Ensure the efficient management of a large caseload
  • Provide legal guidance and ensure timely case resolution

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff or defense personal injury law
  • Experience in insurance defense and/or prior claims handling is a significant advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Needles case management software is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Superior negotiation abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Ohio Bar License

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a high caseload effectively
  • Excellent client relationship management
  • Familiarity with personal injury law and pre-litigation processes
