Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a motivated Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will represent clients in family law proceedings, offer legal counsel, and assist in managing cases efficiently.

Job Duties:

  • Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings related to family law matters.
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of complex family law issues.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and participate in mediation sessions.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation for easy access and retrieval.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, paralegals, and other team members to ensure case progress and updates.
  • Manage billable hours effectively and adhere to firm billing policies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar with good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience practicing family law, including courtroom experience.
  • Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA) is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel; ability to quickly adapt to new software programs.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
