Associate Attorney Construction Defect Law

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in construction defect litigation on the defense side to join its San Diego office. This full-time role provides a hybrid work environment and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal team focused on civil litigation.

Duties:

• Manage various aspects of construction defect litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
• Prepare and argue legal motions effectively in court.
• Conduct depositions, including taking and defending witness testimonies.
• Perform in-depth legal research to support case strategies and outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure thorough representation of clients in all phases of litigation.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side.
• Strong research and writing abilities to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Proven capacity to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
