Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience

A law firm in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage a caseload of civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation defense, strong legal research and writing skills, and be admitted to the New Mexico State Bar.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal issues.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues on case strategy and development.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Mexico State Bar and in good standing.
• 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation defense preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Solid background in litigation.
