A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to defend and litigate lawsuits encompassing a broad spectrum of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. The ideal candidate will also provide counsel to employers on various employment and labor law issues and represent them in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations. The role involves handling diverse employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, data privacy, and non-compete cases. The candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials and be admitted to the Florida Bar in good standing.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters.
  • Handle class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, data privacy, and non-compete cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare clients for hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in employment law or commercial litigation.
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Understanding of current agency procedures at both state and federal levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
