A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Financial Restructuring Finance Associate Attorney to join their New York City, NY team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in complex debt financing transactions, specifically in acquisition financing, term loan facilities, and working capital facilities. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a broad range of complex debt financing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for acquisition financing, term loan facilities, and working capital facilities.
  • Provide legal support for sponsor-backed companies in the middle market.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering strategic advice and solutions.
  • Handle the preparation and review of commitment letters, sponsor grids, unitranche facilities, and inter-creditor arrangements.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal developments and industry trends to provide the most up-to-date advice.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in financial restructuring and finance law.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex debt financing transactions, including acquisition financing, term loan facilities, and working capital facilities.
  • Familiarity with commitment letters, sponsor grids, unitranche facilities, and inter-creditor arrangements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the New York State Bar.
