A law firm seeks a dynamic and driven attorney to join their team in Lincoln, Nebraska, specializing in Family Law. This role provides an opportunity to offer strategic legal support and guidance to clients navigating complex family issues, including divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and estate planning.

Duties:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for filing and necessary correspondence.
  • Create pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders.
  • Communicate with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding case developments.
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses and prepare them for court testimony.
  • Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of all legal documents prepared.
  • Attend court promptly for all assigned cases.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned cases effectively.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, including filing, mailing, and organizing files.
  • Conduct legal research on specific issues as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Valid Nebraska license is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in family law is preferred but not essential.
  • Senior Associate positions available for candidates with five or more years of litigation experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Nebraska state bar membership required.
