Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Job Title: Associate Attorney (Personal Injury)

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior attorneys to manage and litigate a variety of personal injury cases. Duties:

• Assist in all aspects of personal injury litigation under the guidance of a Lead Attorney
• Propound and respond to discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, complaints, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents
• Take and defend depositions, both in person and remotely
• Attend court hearings in both state and federal jurisdictions as needed
• Manage a caseload and ensure cases are progressing on schedule and within deadlines
• Assist in trial preparation and serve as a Second Chair in trials
• Represent clients in a wide range of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and fall incidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance disputes
• Investigate and prepare claim demands for insurance companies across various states
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies

Requirements:

• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work under tight deadlines
• Strong multitasking skills and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent legal research skills
• Effective oral and written communication abilities
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar license

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues in complex cases
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Experience with personal injury law and litigation is highly preferred
