Litigation Attorney

Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to expert discovery

• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences

• Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigations

• Draft legal documents including discovery requests, responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, and pleadings

• Review discovery responses, depositions, and prepare summaries and litigation update reports

• Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle claims

• Provide legal analysis, status reports, and advice to clients

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of litigation experience

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania

• Experience in general liability, professional liability, healthcare, or labor and employment preferred

• Knowledge of federal and state civil procedures

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Ability to manage a fast-paced and demanding environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Strong organizational abilities

• Effective negotiation and communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Familiarity with Lexis legal research software
