Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in regulatory matters through written pleadings and oral presentations.
  • Represent clients at stakeholder forums, workshops, and administrative or evidentiary hearings.
  • Provide strategic guidance and compliance advice related to energy regulation.
  • Act as lead counsel on assigned matters, managing cases independently and interacting directly with clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address regional energy markets, transmission initiatives, and compliance challenges.

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of experience in regulatory advocacy or a related legal field.
  • Proficiency in handling administrative and evidentiary hearings.
  • Strong oral advocacy and persuasive writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to serving public power entities and a familiarity with energy sector regulations are preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in a U.S. state bar association; California Bar membership is preferred.
