A law firm at the forefront of innovation in legal services is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney with expertise in employment law. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact cases while leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance legal strategy. The ideal candidate will be a motivated litigator who can manage cases independently, advocate for clients, and drive positive outcomes in employment disputes.
Handle various employment-related civil litigation matters, including wage disputes, wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, and harassment cases.
Draft, review, and refine legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Engage in strategic settlement discussions and negotiations.
Prepare for and conduct depositions, demonstrating strong analytical and investigative skills.
Oversee case progression and ensure adherence to litigation deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and other key stakeholders.
Perform in-depth legal research and provide sound legal analysis to support case strategy.
Offer guidance and oversight to paralegals and support staff.
Represent clients in mediation proceedings and other pre-trial dispute resolution efforts.
Education & Licensing: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership with the California State Bar.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in civil litigation, preferably handling employment-related disputes.
Legal Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage cases from initial filing to resolution with minimal supervision.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AI-enhanced legal tools and a willingness to integrate technology into legal practice.
Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is an asset but not required.
