Key Responsibilities

  • Handle various employment-related civil litigation matters, including wage disputes, wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, and harassment cases.

  • Draft, review, and refine legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.

  • Engage in strategic settlement discussions and negotiations.

  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, demonstrating strong analytical and investigative skills.

  • Oversee case progression and ensure adherence to litigation deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and other key stakeholders.

  • Perform in-depth legal research and provide sound legal analysis to support case strategy.

  • Offer guidance and oversight to paralegals and support staff.

  • Represent clients in mediation proceedings and other pre-trial dispute resolution efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Licensing: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership with the California State Bar.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in civil litigation, preferably handling employment-related disputes.

  • Legal Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage cases from initial filing to resolution with minimal supervision.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AI-enhanced legal tools and a willingness to integrate technology into legal practice.

  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is an asset but not required.
