A law firm seeks an experienced and passionate Litigation Attorney specializing in immigration law to join its legal team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position involves advocating for clients in removal defense, managing a wide range of immigration cases, and working collaboratively to provide innovative legal solutions. Duties

  • Represent clients in removal defense proceedings, including master and individual calendar hearings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).
  • Prepare and file motions, legal briefs, and evidence packets for immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Attend and advocate for clients during U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) interviews.
  • Assist clients during Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) check-ins.
  • Manage a variety of immigration cases, including family-based petitions and humanitarian applications.
  • Conduct legal research on complex immigration matters and propose creative legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional service and adherence to ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong commitment to immigration law and social justice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and client communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Proficiency with technology and legal case management tools.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in any U.S. state or jurisdiction.
