A law firm in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, is seeking a Senior Lawyer with extensive trial experience and a proven track record in managing a heavy caseload. The successful candidate will advocate for clients, provide strategic legal advice, and implement comprehensive legal support plans. This role requires strong mentorship abilities, as the Senior Lawyer will guide lower-level associates and ensure continued success within the firm. The position involves drafting legal documents, attending court proceedings, and conducting legal research. Excellent persuasive writing skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision are essential.

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients and advise them on the best course of action to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Implement and manage comprehensive legal support plans for clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Attend court hearings, argue motions, and represent clients in trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Supervise and mentor lower-level attorneys in conflict resolution and legal practices.
  • Perform legal services including drafting agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates.
  • Oversee and analyze discovery, documents provided by parties, and other legal materials.
  • Represent and advocate for clients in various legal matters as needed.
  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the Firm and its clients.
  • Prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements, when delegated by Partners.
  • Manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a senior associate attorney or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in trial, mediation, and arbitration representation.
  • Proven ability to manage a heavy caseload and provide strategic legal counsel.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising junior attorneys.
  • Strong persuasive writing skills and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal matters independently and efficiently.
