This role provides an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional who specializes in Default Services, Creditor’s Rights, and Bankruptcy law. The firm operates in multiple states and offers a chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the potential for remote work. The ideal candidate will handle bankruptcy matters while ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.

Duties:

  • Review and sign legal documents and pleadings related to bankruptcy cases.
  • Draft legal documents and conduct necessary research.
  • Represent clients in court hearings concerning bankruptcy cases.
  • Keep the firm and clients updated on changes in state-specific bankruptcy laws and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the firm’s legal operations.

Requirements:

  • Active bar membership in good standing in the states of Ohio and Kentucky.
  • Admission into Bankruptcy Courts in both Ohio and Kentucky; Indiana admission is a plus.
  • Strong ability to address legal issues practically and efficiently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and superb analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active licensure in relevant jurisdictions as specified in the requirements.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Ohio and Kentucky (required).
  • Admission to Bankruptcy Courts in Ohio and Kentucky (required); Indiana (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Proficient in managing court hearings and legal proceedings.
