Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its expanding practice, which focuses on wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, real estate, and business law. Based in Red Bank, NJ, this role offers direct client interaction and the opportunity to manage a significant caseload from the start. With an emphasis on long-term client relationships, the firm is looking for a motivated attorney to grow within its team. Remote work flexibility is available after the initial acclimation period.

Duties:

  • Manage and handle a diverse caseload, including probate and administration matters, from inception to resolution.
  • Assist with contested and uncontested Surrogate’s Court litigation related to probate and administration.
  • Engage directly with clients, providing legal advice and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Support real estate transactions, both residential and commercial, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the team to strategize and execute legal solutions for clients.
  • Draft legal documents related to wills, trusts, estates, and real estate matters.
  • Perform legal research using platforms like Westlaw and utilize client management software such as Clio.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wills, trusts, and estate law.
  • Experience in probate and administration matters, both contested and uncontested.
  • Strong client interaction and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel) and legal research tools (Westlaw).
  • Real estate law experience is preferred.
  • Ability to commute reliably to the Red Bank, NJ office.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (required).
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and oral communication skills.
