A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Family Law Attorney to join its team in South Jordan, UT. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or new attorneys eager to establish their careers in family law. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys, gaining hands-on experience while developing strong advocacy skills.

Duties:

  • Assist in managing family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, spousal support, and adoption matters.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Participate in client consultations, providing legal advice and assistance under the guidance of senior attorneys.

  • Maintain effective and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Ensure timely completion of all case-related documents and tasks in accordance with legal timelines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Recent graduate or attorney with less than one year of experience in family law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Utah.

Skills:

  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents and understanding family law principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
