Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Las Vegas, NV seeks a skilled and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join its growing team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal advice, and collaborate with a dynamic team of legal professionals to support clients in various immigration matters.

Duties

• Provide clear explanations of immigration concepts and develop strategic legal solutions for clients.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers and provide legal support.
• Prepare and review diverse immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to address changes in immigration law.
• Meet with potential clients to assess their cases and develop strategic plans.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances or USCIS testimony.
• Manage and prioritize a workload of cases efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload and advance legal cases effectively.
• Proficiency in family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, EOIR cases, detained client representation, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.
• Nevada Bar admission is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Nevada Bar membership.

Skills

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
