Job Overview:
A leading law firm is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Immigration Attorney for an exciting Associate position in Dallas, TX. As an Immigration Attorney, you will have the chance to manage a diverse caseload, work closely with clients, and collaborate with a team of skilled legal professionals.

Duties:

• Advise clients on immigration matters, providing clear and strategic guidance tailored to their needs
• Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
• Handle a variety of immigration cases, including removal defense, family-based immigration petitions, and other USCIS-related applications
• Conduct client consultations, including intake with detained individuals at detention centers
• Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, and legal briefs
• Develop and implement case strategies, including preparing clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law
• Review and revise immigration application packets to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage caseload efficiently and effectively, ensuring timely and proactive follow-up

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Experience handling a wide range of immigration cases, including family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR matters, detained cases, and citizenship applications
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with case management software is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and legal analysis capabilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Bar membership in good standing

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in at least one state (preferably TX)

• Expertise in immigration law, particularly in removal defense and family-based immigration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and case management skills
• Client-focused mindset with a passion for advocating for immigrants’ rights
