Duties

  • Handle all phases of workers' compensation litigation from inception to resolution

  • Draft pretrial motions, conduct depositions, and collaborate with expert witnesses

  • Prepare cases for trial, including trial strategy and evidence presentation

  • Represent clients in hearings and court appearances

  • Communicate regularly with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel

  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and billing entries

  • Assist with civil litigation matters as needed

Requirements

  • Prior litigation experience preferred

  • Workers’ compensation litigation experience required

  • Civil litigation experience is a plus

  • Strong academic background

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member of the Virginia State Bar (required)
