Litigation Attorney - Automotive Warranty

Job Overview
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its automotive, aerospace, and product litigation practice. This position will primarily focus on automotive warranty litigation, including California Lemon Law claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in warranty matters, particularly in managing California Lemon Law claims, and will be proactive in managing a caseload. The role requires a highly skilled litigator with strong writing abilities and courtroom experience.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of automotive warranty cases, including California Lemon Law claims and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act claims.
• Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis, drafting legal memoranda.
• Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
• Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Work on all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings to trial.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on automotive warranty matters.
• Experience with California Lemon Law claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is preferred.
• Experience with discovery, law and motion, and handling litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Proven track record of managing a caseload efficiently.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and meet deadlines.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in the state of California is required.
