Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding legal team in Las Vegas, NV. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on general civil litigation, providing the opportunity to manage cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, a keen ability to handle multiple priorities, and a solid background in managing various types of legal disputes.

Duties:

  • Manage civil litigation cases, including commercial disputes, professional liability claims, and insurance-related matters.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Manage discovery processes and prepare for depositions.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Effectively negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel and clients.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in general civil litigation.
  • Experience with defending commercial disputes, consumer protection claims, professional liability cases, and insurance coverage disputes is advantageous.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents and managing cases throughout the litigation process.
  • Federal court experience is a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials are preferred.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing admission to the Nevada Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
