Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a proven track record in leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents, managing deal processes and client relationships, and supervising junior associates. This role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of maturity and business sense, and the ability to effectively manage both internal and external client relationships. Experience with large regional, national, or international law firms is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary M&A documents.
  • Manage the entire deal process from inception to closing.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and feedback on their work.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of M&A related matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide strategic advice to clients on M&A transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations throughout the deal process.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client pitches and presentations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to provide innovative solutions to clients.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven ability to lead the drafting and negotiation of complex M&A documents.
  • Strong experience in managing deal processes and client relationships.
  • Prior experience supervising junior associates.
  • Large regional, national, or international law firm experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of maturity and business sense.
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, or eligible for admission to the Florida Bar.
