Job Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to bankruptcy laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as bankruptcy petitions, motions, pleadings, and agreements.
  • Participate in bankruptcy hearings, mediations, and negotiations with creditors and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on bankruptcy strategies, risk management, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Stay current with developments in bankruptcy law and industry trends to effectively advise clients.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar in California.
  • 2-5 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 7 liquidations, and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
