A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a skilled Litigation Securities Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in securities litigation, possessing a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and the complexities of financial markets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials related to securities litigation matters.
  • Analyze complex financial documents, including SEC filings and financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including witness preparation and examination.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategy and provide insightful legal analysis.
  • Manage document review and electronic discovery processes efficiently.
  • Stay updated on developments in securities laws, regulations, and judicial decisions.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in California.
  • 2+ years of experience practicing securities litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state securities laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with arbitration and mediation related to securities disputes.
  • Familiarity with financial markets and investment products.
  • Previous experience managing junior associates or paralegals.
