A law firm seeks a skilled Estate Planning Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join its trusts and estates practice in Wellesley, MA. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work directly with clients on sophisticated estate planning matters, manage probate and trust administration, and collaborate with other professionals. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional legal services while growing their practice in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Duties:

  • Meet and work directly with clients to provide personalized estate planning services.
  • Draft a variety of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Research legal and tax-related issues associated with estate planning strategies.
  • Prepare and file estate tax returns in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with client advisors such as financial planners, accountants, and other attorneys.
  • Manage and administer trusts, ensuring compliance with legal and fiduciary responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Proficient in probate, trust and estate administration, estate tax return preparation, and drafting estate planning documents.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and the trust administration process.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting estate planning documents and managing trust administration.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with financial planners, accountants, and legal professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
