Job Overview: A respected law firm is seeking a reliable and energetic Associate Attorney for its Conroe, Texas office. This role involves working closely with partners and colleagues on all phases of litigation, including court appearances, legal document review, and client advising. The position offers a collaborative team environment with a focus on long-term growth and partnership opportunities. Recently licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply, as training and mentorship are provided.

Location:

  • Conroe, Texas

Duties:

  • Review and analyze legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances in Montgomery and surrounding counties
  • Collaborate with staff on collection and litigation activities
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, as well as legal memoranda for firm and clients
  • Conduct legal research and provide thorough analysis on complex legal issues
  • Advise clients on tax matters and communicate with taxpayers and attorneys
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Participate in marketing, networking, and business development activities
  • Attend local, evening, and weekend events, including statewide conferences
  • Assist with appellate matters as needed

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Bar License
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to complete work accurately and timely
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently with limited supervision
  • Strong motivation for career growth and development, with an interest in business development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas

Skills:
