Duties:

  • Work directly with a founding partner to manage family law cases, focusing on complex divorce and high-net-worth client matters.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and advocacy in family law cases.
  • Engage in legal research and case analysis, ensuring thorough understanding of relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Handle trial preparation, client management, and legal correspondence.
  • Build and maintain client relationships with a compassionate, client-focused approach.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals, fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of family law experience or 7+ years of civil litigation experience (family law experience preferred, but not required).
  • Strong written, analytical, and oral communication skills.
  • Well-versed in civil law, including knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and empathy when working with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law and civil litigation (preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
  • Emotional intelligence and client management abilities.
  • Experience in trial preparation and litigation strategy.
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple cases.
