Mid-level Commercial Disputes Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Commercial Disputes practice in Seattle. Location:

Duties:

• Manage complex litigation matters from start to finish, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with the legal team.
• Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and manage all aspects of discovery.
• Prepare and argue motions and briefs before state and federal courts.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Stay informed on legal developments, trends, and best practices in litigation.
• Assist in business development efforts, including client presentations and networking events.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to manage litigation matters independently and as part of a team.
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and court representation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to make strategic decisions and exercise sound judgment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and favorable client outcomes.
• Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
