A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Managed Care Litigation Lawyer with 2-4 years of experience, ideally gained at a large or specialized firm. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in managed care litigation, specifically handling reimbursement disputes between healthcare providers and payors. This role requires excellent analytical skills, the ability to provide effective legal solutions, and superior communication skills.

Duties:

  • Handle and litigate complex managed care disputes, particularly reimbursement disputes involving healthcare providers and payors.
  • Provide legal representation and strategic counsel to healthcare provider clients in managed care litigation matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents as necessary.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including paralegals and support staff, to achieve client objectives and case outcomes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in managed care litigation, preferably at a large or specialized law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of reimbursement issues within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze intricate legal issues and provide clear, concise legal strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
