A well-established law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing team. Located in the Corporate Woods area of Albany, NY, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work with experienced attorneys in a dynamic practice group. The firm handles a broad range of matrimonial and family law matters, including divorces, separations, prenuptial agreements, property divisions, child support, custody, adoption, and more.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, and spousal support cases.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Provide legal advice to clients on family law matters, guiding them through complex legal processes.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in court when necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members to strategize and manage casework.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of matrimonial and family law to provide informed counsel.

Requirements:

• Active admission to practice law in New York.
• Strong academic credentials and proven success in legal practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Litigation experience, preferably in matrimonial and family law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Negotiation and settlement experience.
• Ability to effectively manage client relationships.
