A law firm in Cleveland is seeking a General Liability/Professional Liability Attorney to oversee all aspects of pending litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, handling written discovery, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, and maintaining organized case files. The position requires strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with senior attorneys to develop effective case strategies.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of pending litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Proficient in preparing and responding to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Communicate effectively with expert witnesses
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Develop deep analytical skills to evaluate and resolve complex legal issues
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, courts, and opposing counsel

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of litigation experience in Federal, State, and/or local courts
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities
  • Motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
