Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for their Boulder, Colorado office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a variety of legal areas, including securities litigation, commercial litigation, professional liability defense, and more. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on drafting legal documents, preparing for trials, and providing client support. A background in securities litigation is preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Manage multiple legal cases simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and organization
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents for submission to opposing parties
  • Participate in mediations, hearings, and depositions as needed
  • Communicate directly with clients, assisting with problem-solving and case resolution
  • Apply best practices in client relations and case management
  • Analyze legal findings, developing strategies and arguments for case presentations
  • Complete projects and reports promptly, adhering to partner and client guidelines
  • Track billable hours accurately, ensuring compliance with firm and client policies

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience
  • Admission to practice law in Colorado
  • Experience drafting summary judgment motions and dispositive motions is preferred
  • Mediation and trial preparation experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in Colorado is required

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting motions and pleadings
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Proficiency in legal research and strategy development
