A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its eDiscovery and Information Management practice group in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves significant responsibility, including direct collaboration with senior attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate thrives under deadlines, excels in managing complex projects, and demonstrates outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Duties

  • Manage eDiscovery responsibilities for intricate litigation cases.
  • Supervise and coordinate the execution of projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related agreements, protocols, and orders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal legal teams, partners, and clients regarding eDiscovery strategies and progress.
  • Oversee document review teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with workflows.
  • Design and implement document review processes, including quality control protocols.
  • Provide training and mentorship to document review attorneys to enhance performance.
  • Develop accurate budgets, and cost estimates, and manage monthly revenue forecasting and invoice reviews.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, positive team environment.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery, gained in a law firm, corporate, or governmental setting.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-performance standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of Arizona or eligible for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Superior organizational and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in eDiscovery technologies and processes.
