A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team in Pullman, Washington. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling cases independently while contributing to a collaborative office environment. This position offers a long-term opportunity for an attorney who is committed to serving clients in the Pullman, Moscow, Lewiston, and Clarkston areas. Duties:

  • Represent clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients, guiding them through complex family law matters.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, advocating for their best interests.
  • Manage a caseload independently while working with other attorneys and staff in the firm.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and mediations as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member of the Washington State Bar.
  • Membership in the Idaho State Bar is a plus.
  • Experience practicing family law, with a demonstrated ability to manage cases independently.
  • Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar is required.
  • Membership in the Idaho State Bar is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of family law, including local rules and procedures.
  • Excellent research and legal writing skills.
  • Skilled in negotiation and settlement advocacy.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide clear, practical advice.
