A reputable law firm in Charlotte, NC, is currently looking for an attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide legal services to homeowner and condominium associations, offering a broad range of counsel, including advice on governing documents, covenant violations, board disputes, and more. The role also involves supporting residential real estate closings. Strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position.

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance to homeowners and condominium associations on various matters, such as document amendments, covenant violations, and neighborhood disputes.
  • Assist in resolving board conflicts and annual meeting controversies.
  • Manage the collection of dues and assessments, including handling bankruptcy-related issues.
  • Provide support with residential real estate closings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Work independently while contributing to the growth of the firm’s community association practice.
  • Ensure that legal services are delivered with high quality and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure in both North Carolina and South Carolina via UBE score).
  • 0-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to address various audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Interest in growing within the community association practice area.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain it in South Carolina).
