Job Title: Institutional Response Group Attorney

Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm in Boulder, CO, is seeking a highly qualified attorney to join its specialized Institutional Response Group. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a leading practice in Title IX and civil rights compliance, offering services to a variety of institutions. The position level (Associate, Counsel, or Member) will depend on the candidate's experience.

Duties:

  • Conduct investigations under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, or civil rights and criminal laws addressing:
    • Sexual and gender-based harassment and violence
    • Protected class discrimination or harassment
    • Child or elder abuse
  • Assist institutions and governmental agencies in implementing trauma-informed, fair, and impartial prevention and resolution processes.
  • Develop and review written policies, procedures, and educational materials related to compliance.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on Title IX, the Clery Act, child protection frameworks, and related areas.
  • Support institutions with systems design, infrastructure, and governance issues.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions to institutional stakeholders.
  • Travel as necessary to provide on-site support to clients.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with:
    • Title IX
    • Clery Act
    • Child protection frameworks
    • Other related regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and teamwork.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active license to practice law in the state of Colorado.

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal investigations related to civil rights and discrimination laws.
