Duties:

  • Represent clients in mortgage foreclosure and collections cases
  • Handle a high volume of cases related to creditor's rights

  • Make court appearances and attend hearings as needed
  • Engage in appellate advocacy and stay updated on relevant legal codes (e.g., TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, Bankruptcy Code)
  • Demonstrate leadership by contributing to the firm's growth and reputation
  • Proactively build relationships within the industry to be regarded as a trusted advisor
  • Support and uphold superior client service standards

Requirements:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar
  • Ability to obtain or possess a license for South Carolina federal district and bankruptcy courts
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections
  • Knowledge of the South Carolina state legal system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth
  • Willingness to travel as required for court appearances

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in South Carolina (required)
  • Additional state licenses are a plus
