Duties

• Advise clients on their legal rights and case strategy
• Draft and review legal documents, motions, and pleadings
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, depositions, and court proceedings
• Analyze case law, precedents, and potential case outcomes
• Interview witnesses and gather evidence to build strong defense strategies
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants to manage caseloads efficiently
• Prepare clients for court appearances and depositions

Requirements

• Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law (through law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work)
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with case management software is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)
