Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery, trial, and post-trial motions.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Provide legal advice and strategies to clients to resolve disputes effectively.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and management.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations affecting clients' industries.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation cases independently.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills and experience with depositions and courtroom procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and litigation support software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Ohio State Bar or eligibility to become admitted.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio.
