Job Overview:

A prestigious creditor rights law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 0-5 years of experience in real estate, foreclosure, and/or creditors' rights law. The position is based in Hunt Valley, MD, with opportunities for growth and professional development within a supportive environment.

Location:

  • Hunt Valley, MD

Duties:

  • Review documentation related to Maryland foreclosures to ensure compliance with state and federal law.

  • Communicate with clients and courts in a professional and timely manner.

  • Attend court status hearings, mediations, and litigation proceedings.

  • Manage a portfolio of title curative and litigation matters related to Virginia foreclosures and other default-related issues.

  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of active files, ensuring legal actions exceed client timelines and expectations.

  • Handle the day-to-day processes of Virginia foreclosure pre-sale, post-sale, and accounting matters.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in real estate, foreclosure, and creditors’ rights law.

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Maryland (or in the process of obtaining the license).

  • Additional Virginia licensure is a plus.

  • Motivated and able to work independently.

  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to process improvements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Maryland Law License (required); Virginia licensure is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Maryland Bar License (required).

  • Virginia Bar License (preferred, but not required).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and legal research skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
